The South are an impressive 9-piece band featuring former members of The Beautiful South, including singer Alison Wheeler and lifelong sax player Gaz Birtles. The exciting live band bring back the full flavour and arrangements of the songs made famous by The Beautiful South.

After a successful year of touring UK theatres and festivals, The South is making sure to keep all those timeless songs alive, including; A Little Time (the #1 single), Perfect 10, Rotterdam, Old Red Eyes Is Back, Good as Gold, Don’t Marry Her, plus many more tracks by The Beautiful South, and a selection of originals. Many of these songs span a 20-year career after being written in 1989, and it is fantastic to experience them live again decades later.

The South is made up of Alison Wheeler (Vocals), Gaz Birtles (Vocals), Phil Barton (Guitars), Steve Nutter (Bass), Dave Anderson (Drums), Karl Brown (Percussion), Gareth John (Trumpet), Su Robinson (Sax), and Andy Price (Keys).
