2022 Marks 50 Years of Brewery Arts!
Published 10 June 2022
To celebrate our 50th anniversary, we’re bringing you a special programme throughout the year, featuring energising gigs, free Open Days, a diverse Summer Showcase and much more. So far, we’ve enjoyed side-splitting comedy from the hilarious Mark Watson, but if you missed out, don’t worry, we have lots of exciting events ahead. We can’t wait to welcome you to the party!
Coming up at Brewery Arts…
Warmduscher
Warmduscher have never taken to the term ‘supergroup’, but it’s safe to say that their unique, potent blend of raw musicianship, down ‘n’ dirty rock riffs and devil-may-care party attitude was borne from the union of Clams Baker and The Witherer of Paranoid London; Quicksand of Fat White Family; and Mr Salt Fingers Lovecraft & Kid Whispers, hailing from Insecure Men.

She Drew The Gun
‘I believe art should provoke a reaction.’ – She Drew The Gun
Passionate, principled, and refreshingly plain-spoken, Louisa Roach will not be cowed into silence. As She Drew The Gun, the Wirral-based, singer-songwriter has spent the last seven years cementing her reputation as a vital voice in the alternative scene, using punk-infused psych-pop as a vehicle for exposing injustice and for advocating for a fairer and more tolerant society. That message is more potent than ever on Behave Myself, her incendiary third album.

This Is The Kit
This Is The Kit is the musical project of Kate Stables. It has carried Stables from Winchester to Bristol to Paris (where she’s lived for the last 15 years), and across tours and festivals around the world, not to mention a prestigious Ivor Novello nomination. In early spring of 2020, just before everything got weird, Kate and her band of trusty companions, (Rozi Plain, Jamie Whitby-Coles, Jesse D Vernon, and Neil Smith), knuckled down to record what would become This is The Kit’s fifth album ‘Off Off On’. ‘Off Off On’, was released in October 2020 to huge acclaim with Uncut calling it the band’s “most multi-layered yet subtle work so far” and the Independent naming them “One of the most original and musically gifted artists of today”.
