Stained & Fused Glass | 19 Sep-5 Dec | 6-8pm | £160 (10 wks) | 16+ yrs | Tutor Sarah Walkley | Studio 2
Design and make your own pieces, learning all the basic techniques used in stained and fused glass. This is a practical course, suitable for complete beginners as well as those with experience.
What will the class cover and how will it be taught?
During this course you will be taught how to cut pieces of glass and assemble them into a panel using lead. You will learn how to join the lead using solder. Once the basic techniques have been understood, you’ll be able to design and make your own creations with Sarah’s guidance and support.
There will also be opportunities to learn how to make smaller items using the copper foil technique and also a chance to try glass fusing. Students can also try their hand at glass painting, an advanced technique.
Who is it suitable for?
Suitable for all levels from complete beginners to more experienced.
