Vacant Weekend are an alt-pop trio from Cumbria, currently based in Manchester. The three friends met in school and were bound together immediately, finding comfort in jamming and performing music together. The band in its current iteration was formed in 2018 and took inspiration from disco, Motown, and noughties indie-rock like Two Door Cinema Club and The Wombats. Now they have carved out their own niche that can loosely be described as funk-inspired, groove-focused, cathartic indie rock.

The band has enjoyed two very fun summers of festivals, with returning appearances at Kendal Calling, Bluedot and Solfest, as well as first-time appearances at the picturesque Eskfest in Cumbria and Victorious Festival in Portsmouth. Vacant bring with them 3 phenomenal session players to make up a 6-piece live band, pushing their onstage chemistry and musicality to the next level. Following on from their single ‘Manchester’, Vacant are developing and broadening their sound through their next singles, trying to capture the heavy, raw live energy on their records.

Holly Brooke

Holly Brooke is an indie-folk, singer-songwriter; Largely inspired by her home and life in the Lake District, her raw but delicate lyricism is centred around the small pleasures of life, self-reflection and falling in and out of love with people, places and everything in between.
