The UK’s largest festival of Japanese cinema, the Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme returns to Brewery Arts with its biggest showcase ever!
2024’s programme sees the exploration of memory in film, delving into how memories are utilised in the cinematic voices of Japanese filmmakers in creative ways to craft scintillating stories.
Memories are used as a focal point in some of the films, and in others, they play a subliminal role in driving or affecting people’s minds and behaviour. With an incredibly diverse range of films all based on memories, time, and reflections, this year’s programme is set to provide UK audiences with memorable stories and unforgettable moments.
All films are shown in Japanese with English subtitles.
