March sees the start of Spring arrive (phew!) and we’re bringing you the freshest of the fresh at Brewery Arts. Events to fill your cup include the unstoppable folk trio John McSherry, Brendan Quinn and Francis McIlduff who bring some much-coveted energy to the table, plus punk legend, author and music maven John Robb ordains us with all kinds of wisdom.
Activist, conservationist and Mercury prize nominated folk singer, Sam Lee will be taking to the stage and we’ll be having a good laugh at ourselves at Very British Problems: Live. Visit us in March for the best in culture, live music, comedy, cinema and more.

The Langan Band

The Langan Band are a trio that have carved out their own lawlessly virtuosic path of sound; rampaging through the boundaries of conventional genre and cavorting into the territories of wild abandon.
While the band have drawn influence from Trad. Scots music, Eastern European Gypsy, Progressive Jazz and American Old-Time, they have forged a sound that is unique and irresistible, getting their audiences giddy with every show.
Martha Tilston + Support From Nathan Ball

BBC best newcomer nominated Martha Tilston has performed countless prestigious festivals, enjoyed a spell as guest vocalist for Zero 7 and released several critically acclaimed albums.
She performs as a trio with long-time collaborators Matt Tweed and Matt Kelly, who entwine raw vocals, sparkling melodies and thought-provoking lyrics with filmic movements and earthy baselines.

Three phenomenal musicians who first got together as a trio at Belfast’s Féile Trad Trail in 2022, the depth of their musical connection and rapport was instantly celebrated.
“Dualling” uilleann pipes, soaring whistles, interweaving harmonies, rock steady bodhran and guitar grooves, the tunes and songs are delivered with a confidence, energy and drive that only a live show can create.
John Robb

John Robb is not just a well-known face from TV, but also a best-selling author, musician, award-winning journalist, presenter, music website boss (Louder Than War), eco-warrior, and talking head singer from The Membranes.
He joins us to talk about his life in music, his best-selling ‘The Art of Darkness’ book, being the first person to interview Nirvana, inventing the word Britpop, adventures on the post-punk frontline and much more.

Whilst making his new album The Last Rotation Of Earth, Christinzio’s relationship with his fiancé crumbled after nine inseparable years. The album follows this break-up amid long-term struggles with addiction and declining mental health. The outcome is an extraordinary record, with Christinzio describing it as “more cinematic, sophisticated and nuanced than anything I’ve done before.” He goes on to describe how the separation altered his creative focus and caused him to “scrap 95% of what I’d already recorded”, finishing The Last Rotation Of Earth in two months and making what he believes to his most vital album.
Still, Christinzio doesn’t see any of this as a story of redemption. “This is not a story of victory,” he says. “It is a document created in the shadow of incredible darkness. One from which the creator hadn’t planned on escaping, and still doesn’t. Hence the title of the album. It is the result of an illness that I’ve battled my whole life. It isn’t something that the world has done to me. It’s the world I live in and it’s no one’s fault.”
Christinzio is making important music, channelling the forces that have beleaguered him and making the most honest and candid work he can, because anything else wouldn’t be BC Camplight.
