November is upon us, and Brewery Arts is a buzzing hub of activity right now with a ton of live events, creative learning for all ages and a new Winter menu in the restaurant.

Our family entertainment season continues with Mr Sleepybum – a silly, slapstick, interactive show that kids go crazy for.

Live Music this month is as eclectic as ever, with Big Country taking us by storm with their big sound and Gary Stewart’s Graceland recreates Paul Simon’s iconic Graceland album in an incredible live performance. Blazin’ Fiddles return with their super talented lineup whilst Talisk, one of the most talked-about folk bands of the 21st century tear up the genre in the way only they know how for a not-to-be-missed show.

Siobhan Miller Band

Scotland’s folk sensation, Siobhan Miller, brings her acclaimed sound from festival arenas to more intimate venues. Seckou Keita

Renowned as a Kora virtuoso, Seckou Keita shines brightly among African traditional musicians, hailing from Southern Senegal. Dubbed “the Hendrix of the Kora,” Seckou’s innovative approach continually pushes the instrument’s boundaries. With 14 critically acclaimed albums amassing over 25 million Spotify streams and multiple BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, his impact on the music scene is undeniable.

The Watch Plays Genesis

Thursday 7 November | Doors: 7.30pm | Tickets: £18.50 | Theatre Unreserved Seating

The Watch returns with a new show commemorating the 50th anniversary of Genesis’ 1974 masterpiece, “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway.” The band’s singer, with vocals reminiscent of Peter Gabriel, and their instrumental excellence promise an authentic experience, transporting listeners back to the adventurous spirit of Genesis in the seventies.

Join CALAN on a mythical musical journey as they blend original tunes with ancient melodies from Welsh folklore. Eliza Carthy & The Restitution

Eliza Carthy, a prominent figure in the English folk revival, boasts an illustrious 30-year career, marked by an MBE, two Mercury Prize nominations, and global touring. Her band, The Restitution, comprised of talented contemporary folk musicians create a dynamic musical experience.

A rare opportunity to see Michael Cumming’s cult film Oxide Ghosts, which will only ever be screened at these live events. Created from hundreds of hours of unseen footage, Oxide Ghosts shares insights into the making the legendary TV series Brass Eye. At these special shows, in his introductions and post-film Q&As, Michael both builds and shatters Brass Eye myths.

Always a crowd-pleaser, our Stage on Screen programme delivers some big hitters this month.

Global phenomenon, Phantom of the Opera brings oodles of passionate drama and some special guest appearances. Experience a heart-wrenching showdown in Tosca, featuring some of Puccini’s most well-known melodies.

Girl From The North Country reimagines 20 legendary songs of Bob Dylan as they’ve never been heard before in this profoundly beautiful Broadway production.

Creative Learning

Exploring Acrylic Painting

Our In Real Life season continues with Nature in the Dark Room. Spend an afternoon exploring natural surroundings and analogue photography. Then, bring your experience into the darkroom, to create photographs, photograms and inventive combinations of the two.

Get out and socialise with Art in the Bar or Crafternoon Brew, where you can meet other friendly folk and get creative in a relaxed environment.

Expressive Still Life In Acrylics is designed to introduce you to various techniques, colour mixing, painting mediums, layering processes, and boost your confidence with acrylic painting.
