The Remarkable Nature of Things showcases the work of Brewery Open Exhibition 2024 winners Claire Philpott (Judges Choice Award) and David Raine (People’s Choice Award). Claire’s work combines various images associated with childhood including family photographs, children’s book illustrations and media imagery, with drawings created by children in response to the world around them (see below, left). David’s work is a celebration of the beauty and splendour woven into the natural world, focusing on the landscapes of the Lake District, exploring light, reflection, and grandeur (see below, right).
