Se7en – 30th Anniversary

(18) | 127mins | 30 January | 7.30pm

When retiring police Detective William Somerset (Morgan Freeman) tackles a final case with the aid of newly transferred David Mills (Brad Pitt), they discover a number of elaborate and grisly murders. They soon realize they are dealing with a serial killer (Kevin Spacey) who is targeting people he thinks represent one of the seven deadly sins.

The Shawshank Redemption – 30th Anniversary screening

(15) | 142mins | 18 February | 7.30pm

This cult-classic is considered by many to be the greatest film of all time!

Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) is sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison for the murders of his wife and her lover and is sentenced to a tough prison. However, only Andy knows he didn’t commit the crimes. While there, he forms a friendship with Red (Morgan Freeman), experiences the brutality of prison life, adapts, helps the warden, etc., all in 19 years.

The Green Mile- 25th Anniversary

(18) | 189mins | 11 March | 7pm

Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) walked the mile with a variety of cons. He had never encountered someone like John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), a man convicted of brutally killing a pair of young sisters. Coffey had the size and strength to kill anyone, but not the demeanour. Beyond his simple, naive nature and a deathly fear of the dark, Coffey seemed to possess a prodigious, supernatural gift.
