Stick in the Wheel – 5 December

Stick in the Wheel, the radical East London duo are known for their intense live shows exploring the raw holler of folk, synths, spoken word and intricate rustic dobro guitar. Full-force reworkings of centuries-old work-songs speak to contemporary issues of class, using multi-layered sonic palettes to deeply reflect hidden histories, told with a razor-sharp authenticity. Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip – 6 December

Mik Artistik’s Ego Trip are genuinely delightful, funny, frightening, and indefinable. “Northern rock and roll stand-up” comes close. Mik fixes the audience with his compelling stare, hypnotising and charming them with stories, songs, and poems. Every show is unique as Mik finds a new train of thought to ride. He connects, chats, breaks the wall between audience and band, creates chaos, plays air-crook lock (!?), and is complimented by exquisite layers of rock, soul, funk, and punk created by Jonny Flockton on electric guitar. Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band – 11 December

Pioneer of the Liverpool indie sound and known around the world as the driving force behind seminal rock bands The Pale Fountains and Shack, Michael Head performs at Brewery Arts with his group The Red Elastic Band, playing tracks from stunning new LP ‘Loophole’ and some familiar favourites! ABBA Reunion Christmas Special – 14 December

The brainchild of award-winning West End producers and starring the original ‘Frida’ from the London West End cast, this show gives Abba fans old and ne, the opportunity to once again get together and re-live the addictive Abba phenomena that swept the airwaves and discos during the 70’s and 80’s in a truly authentic, feel good, party style tribute concert. The Albion Christmas Band are widely regarded as the premier seasonal show, which has been touring for 25 years this year, and attracts sell-out audiences across the UK. Indeed, many people say that their Christmas doesn’t start until they have seen The Albion Christmas Band.
