Maya Youssef ft. Zoe Rahman and Elizabeth Nott – Friday 5 April
Hailed as the queen of the qanun, Syria’s Maya Youssef is a globally renowned and award-winning composer and player of the qanun, a traditional Arabic string instrument. Her music blends traditional Middle Eastern music with contemporary classical qualities, creating a sound that is evocative and cinematic. For this performance, Maya is joined by Zoe Rahman, one of the UK’s foremost jazz pianists and composers, and acclaimed percussionist Elizabeth Nott. Book now.

A young musician from Guinea in West Africa, N’famady’s primary instrument is the balafon – a traditional wooden xylophone, sacred to West African culture and his family heritage of the griot.
