Stealing Thunder: Storytelling for Performance
15 January | 6.30-9.30pm £195 | 10 wks | Adults
Delve into the rich treasure trove of folktale, fairytale, myth and epic from across the world and create spoken word performances. Through practical exercises, you’ll explore the principles of storytelling, develop performance skills and build your confidence.
Creative Prose Writing
16 January | 7-9pm | £195 | 10 wks | Adults
Award-winning local novelist, Simon Sylvester will be joining us this season to teach a new weekly Creative Prose Writing class for beginners and improvers. Simon is an accomplished writer and teacher who is skilled at helping people discover and develop their written voice.
Stitching a Memory
8 March | 12-4pm | £60 | Ages 16+
Upcycle your treasured kept fabrics and embroider them with a personal memory. Helena McGregor draws on her own creative practice to assist you in creating a special embroidered memory blanket or keepsake portrait.
Digital x Analogue
Enjoy the history, texture and focused atmosphere of our studios, print-room and darkroom, as well as the sensory process of our painting, life drawing, clay and stained-glass classes.

Youth Arts Highlights
We return in January with our arts, dance and theatre courses for young people including: Artseen, Art Explorers, Brewery Youth Dance, Brewery Youth Theatre, Makers Club and Clay Club.
This season we’ve also got some new and returning sessions for you to enjoy including a Dance a Tale workshop and the Brewery Film Crew course.
Dance a Tale
20 February | 11.30am-12.30pm £8.50 | 7 years and under
Over February half term join Emily Davies for a dance-based workshop where you’ll read a children’s story and explore the characters and themes together, through movement. This is an opportunity for adults and children to spend quality time together, dancing, playing, and creating, all whilst telling stories.
Brewery Tots
Ages 0-4 years and their grown-ups
For little ones and their parents (or grandparents!). These sessions run from 11.30am to 12.30pm and include refreshments. You can purchase a 10 week course for £60 or pay as you go for £7 a session.
