Arts Unleashed Exhibition 2024

Exhibition |
16 Aug – 28 Sep

16 Aug – 28 Sep | Foyer Gallery | Tue-Sat, 11am-5pm | Free

‘Arts Unleashed’ showcases the creative talents of the young participants of the ‘Arts Unleashed Summer camp’ in collaboration with local artist Lucy Wright, whose work is also showing as part of ‘The Love That Remains’ Exhibition in the Sugar Store Gallery at Brewery Arts.  The young people worked very hard all week to create artwork with an environmental focus, using found and recycled objects, and looking at Surrealist collage and assemblage techniques.

Lucy Wright – Artist Bio

Lucy Wright is a Lake District-based fine artist and ceramicist whose work speaks of nature and the interplay between the wild and the human. Playful, delicate and infinitely beautiful, her work is intriguing and often whimsical with a warmth and humour which speaks to the heart.

Lucy’s ceramic assemblage pieces are created by introducing often opposing, found and repurposed objects to support or highlight a ceramic sculpture at the centre.

Lucy studied fine art at Lancaster University achieving a first-class degree and is now exhibiting in galleries across the country.
