September Line-Up
Susan Murray
This bad assed black country lass takes no prisoners with her irreverent, close to the knuckle and honest humour. Susan Murray will have you laughing well into the next millennium with her razor sharp cynicism. Funny, cheeky, in your face, sometimes surreal and always a bit twisted.
‘Feisty fire-headed pocket rocket’ Broadway Baby.
‘Anyone who loves the work of Sarah Millican and Kerry Godliman will find plenty to enjoy here’ The Guardian
Kevin Daniel
Kevin is an award winning comedian, who has established himself as one of the hottest up and coming acts on the comedy circuit. Now getting regular paid weekend work from established comedy promoters across the UK. His commanding stage presence, relatable exquisite storytelling and well crafted jokes, always leave audiences wanting more. In 2024 Kevin won the prestigious “Silver Stand Up” award at the Leicester Comedy Festival and in both 2022 and 2023 Kevin reached the semi finals of the British Comedian Of The Year
“Kevin has a natural ability to fill a room with laughter, he’s a genuinely funny guy.” Just the Tonic
“Kevin Daniel is headline-quality hilarious, a very funny man, with broad appeal, who excels in front of a live comedy club audience”
Sully O’Sullivan
A seasoned international headliner who has performed all over the world. First stepping onto the stage in his native New Zealand, Sully rocketed to stardom making his TV debut just 7 months later in New Zealand’s cult stand-up series Pulp Comedy on TV2, where he went on to appear in another three seasons.
In 2005 Sully decided to spread his comedy wings and head to the sunny coasts of Great Britain. Over a decade later and he’s now performed in almost every corner of the country including the Orkney Islands, the Isle Of Man, the Isle Of White & the Channel Islands! Basically there’s not many places in the UK that Sully hasn’t set foot. Renowned as an act capable of performing in any room and to any audience, Sully has also built up a reputation as one of the most reliable and quick witted comperes on the circuit.
“a wicked sense of humour” BBC
“a blast of hilarity” Manchester Evening News
Howard Walker
“With oodles of warmth and dry wit, Howard has a natural stage presence, an instantly amenable demeanour, inventive imagery and the best comedic use of a Belgian place name even the most ardent comedy fan will ever hear” – Stagefright Comedy
“Howard’s oddly hilarious observations bring something different to any comedy programme” – Buzz Comedy
December Line-Up
Allyson June Smith
After her initial forays into standup garnered her some success, Allyson hit the comedy club circuit, which in turn propelled her to headlining gigs at festivals. She shone in multiple high-profile slots at the Winnipeg, Halifax and Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival. And that was just the start. In the years that followed she received multiple nominations for Best Female Stand-up at the Canadian Comedy Awards, taped her own Comedy Now special and did stints on MuchMusic’s Video on Trial and CBC’s The Debaters.
A self-confessed “over-sharer”, any Allyson June Smith show inevitably serves up a potent observational cocktail of wit, bite and shame. Courageously self-deprecating, Allyson’s comedic gift is making every room, whatever the size, feel like an intimate group therapy session. That intimacy, that uncommon bond between audience and performer is at the heart of Allyson’s magic as a comedian.
“Simply one of the funniest comedians I’ve ever worked with,” Jason Manford
Kate McCabe
American comic who lives in the UK and gigs all over the country. You can also catch her with ComedySportz Manchester and Murder Inc Improv.
When not working professionally as a comic, she also lends her voice to audio books and video games. You may have even been killed by her flamethrower-wielding baddie in Tom Clancy’s THE DIVISION 2.
‘Just a goddam delight’ Manchester Wire
‘Delivers strong material with aplomb’ Three Weeks
Kieran Lawless
An Irish comedian now based in Manchester.
He has worked in comedy clubs across Ireland, the UK & Europe including supporting Patrick Kielty in Dublin’s Olympia Theatre.
Well respected in his native Ireland, his television credits include; New Comedy Awards (RTE), The Takeover (RTE), and RED TV (RTE).
“exceedingly entertaining, highly energised and side splittingly funny” – NorthWestEnd.co.uk
David Stanier
Is a silly and nice stand-up comedian and comedy writer. Fun and daft, enthusiastic and unconventional, David always tries his best!
‘Stanier has a knowingness behind the daftness…lovely, feelgood stuff’ Chortle
‘An ernestly giddy comic with an impressive arsenal of jokes. Stanier’s material is beautifully, banally silly’ Gigglebeats
