Try a range of creative arts and crafts activities at Crafternoon Brew, accompanied by a delicious cream tea in the relaxed surroundings of the Bar & Restaurant at Brewery Arts. Workshops will be led by various expert artists and makers, and each session will focus on a different art or craft. More details about each session will be announced soon on this webpage.

Abstract collage from still life
This crafternoon session will give people the opportunity to use a range of quirky and unusual objects to create their own still life. Taking inspiration from colour, texture, form and imagination, these still life compositions will be the starting point for abstract collages. A rich variety of papers to work with will be provided, with lots of support and encouragement. These include maps, manuscript, books, mulberry papers, plain and patterned designs and newspaper. There will also be viewfinders and picture mounts provided to crop and select our artworks, and a range of images by contemporary artists, to stimulate discussion about still life as a starting point.
Suitable for beginners. No experience necessary.
